Cunggo helps adults make plans and meet through shared activities. This notice explains what happens to your information on our early-access website and, when you use it, the Cunggo app. The early-access list and the app account are separate: signing up for email updates does not create an app account.
1. Who is responsible?
Cunggo is operated by GXA Oy, business ID 2873319-3, Linkkitorninkatu 1, 20540 Turku, Finland. GXA Oy is the controller of the personal data described here. For privacy questions or requests, email cunggo.app@gmail.com.
2. What information do we collect?
Early-access website: when you join the list, we receive your email address, the activities and challenges you select, anything you type into the optional answer, the submission time and the page address. We record the choices you make about processing and email updates. You can visit the public pages without filling in the form.
App: when you create an account, the app asks for an email address, display name and password. Depending on the features you choose, it may also process your profile details, activity interests, approximate area or location preferences, plans, group participation, messages, votes, feedback, blocks and reports. Other members' content about a plan may include information about you. We also process basic technical information such as device or browser details, IP address, login and security events needed to run and protect the service.
Please do not put your home address, identity documents, payment details, health information or other sensitive details in a profile, plan, message or the website's free-text answer.
3. Why do we use it?
| Purpose | Information | Legal basis in the EEA |
|---|---|---|
| Manage the early list and understand the answers you choose to share | Email, answers and submission details | Your consent to processing, given on the form |
| Send early-access and product updates | Email and subscription preference | Your separate email-marketing consent |
| Provide an app account and let members discover activities, make plans and communicate | Account, profile, preferences and content you use | Performance of the service agreement |
| Respond to reports, prevent abuse and secure the service | Reports, relevant content, account and technical records | Our legitimate interests in keeping members and the service safe; legal obligations where applicable |
| Answer requests and meet legal requirements | Correspondence and relevant records | Legitimate interests, legal obligations or steps you ask us to take |
We do not treat joining the early list as permission to send marketing if you have not separately opted in. You can withdraw either consent by emailing us; every marketing email should also offer an unsubscribe method. Withdrawal does not make earlier processing unlawful.
4. What can other members see?
When you use the app, your display name, profile details and the plans or content you share may be visible to other members according to the feature and visibility settings you use. People in a group can see content shared with that group. Blocking and reporting tools help you control interactions, but another person may have already seen or saved content you shared. Check the audience before posting. The app is designed to keep exact personal locations private; do not share a home address or other private location in your own content.
6. How long do we keep it?
We keep early-list details while the list and requested updates are relevant, and remove them when consent is withdrawn or the purpose ends, unless a limited record is needed to honour an unsubscribe request or a legal obligation. We keep app account and content data while your account is active and then delete or de-identify it when it is no longer needed. Reports and security records may be retained longer where reasonably needed to investigate abuse, resolve disputes or comply with law. Backups and provider logs may clear on their own cycles. We review records rather than keeping them indefinitely.
7. Website and device technology
The current marketing pages do not add an advertising pixel or a separate analytics script in the site code. Hosting, security, font delivery and app authentication may still use technical logs or strictly necessary storage. If we add optional analytics or advertising technology, we will update this notice and provide any consent controls required by law. App permissions, if requested, can also be managed in your device settings.
8. Safety and security
We use service-provider and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No online service can promise absolute security. Keep your login details private, use a unique password and report suspicious activity to cunggo.app@gmail.com. Cunggo is for adults aged 18 or over; if we learn that an under-18 person has an account, we will take steps to remove it.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on your circumstances and local law, you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your data; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and withdraw consent at any time. You may also contact us to ask for an account to be closed or to report content. We may need to verify that the request is yours. Email cunggo.app@gmail.com. You can complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman's Office or another competent authority.
10. Changes to this notice
We will update this page when the service or its data practices change. For significant changes affecting existing users, we will provide an appropriate notice. The latest update date appears above.
